The early morning launches of more than two dozen hot-air balloons at Bald Eagle Lake provide several great viewing options. Watching the balloons inflate offers a slow-building bit of excitement as flat fabric evolves into huge, beautiful pieces of art. And watching the balloons slowly fill the sky makes for memorable views and images. And by viewing next to Bald Eagle Lake, you can watch as pilots skim just yards overhead then dip their baskets — or toes — into the water before turning on the flame and rising into the sky — a beautiful experience mirrored by the lake water.

The Night Glow presents a different but equally beautiful side of the balloons. This is where pilots inflate their balloons as night falls by burning propane, creating a fiery “glow” that brings the balloons to light. Attendees can get up close to the balloons as they inflate, but watching from different vantage points around the hill will present a variety of beautiful views.
