We are carefully monitoring the evolving novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and are taking steps to ensure the well-being of everyone involved with our event. We want to update you on some of the planning and responses we are taking at the Steamboat Pilot & Today Hot Air Balloon Rodeo.
ATTENDING THE EVENT:
Access to the launch site at Bald Eagle Lake will be tightly restricted to pilots, crew, sponsors and staff.
There will be no official viewing area for the general public. We encourage the public to find any of the many vantage points around the city to view the balloons and to practice social distancing if around others.
For people permitted to enter the launch site:
Wear a face mask that covers your nose and mouth. Stay home if you are sick. Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. Handwash stations will be available at the launch site as well as soap in the restrooms. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
