We are so excited to have you join us for the 39th annual Steamboat Springs Hot Air Balloon Rodeo. Bringing color and beauty to our Colorado skies during this unprecedented year will bring joy and comfort to so many.
Covid-19 Protocols
Wear a face mask that covers your nose and mouth. Stay home if you are sick. Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. Handwash stations will be available at the launch site as well as soap in the restrooms. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Please do not enter the premises if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19, or are waiting for test results, or have COVID-19 symptoms such as cough, fever, or shortness of breath or other symptoms as established by the CDC. Adhere to the CDC guidelines for quarantine and isolation. Adhere to all federal, state and local regulations, recommendations and mandates regarding COVID-19. Practice safe social distancing. Please keep a minimum 6-foot distance (2 meters) between yourself and others. Please wear a recommended facial covering/mask while you are shopping or visiting. Do not gather in groups. PILOT’S RECEPTION
Our annual VIP Dinner for pilots and sponsors will be Friday, July 9th at 5:00pm Yampa River Botanic Park. It’s a great occasion to greet old friends and meet new ones, get briefed on the weekend’s flights, weather and activities, and otherwise get settled into Steamboat Springs for the weekend. Upon Check in We will have a short health questionnaire and check temperatures to be compliant with health safety protocols. No dogs allowed, please.
Each pilot will receive a goodie bag with our signature hand blown hot air balloon ornament compliments of Solar Flare as well as an official 2020 t-shirt, champagne and non-alcoholic sparking grape juice.
MORNING LAUNCHES
We will be doing our Saturday and Sunday morning launches in multiple waves. See the schedule below for wave arrival and launch times. Please be on time for your scheduled launch. Launch waves will be announced at the Pilot’s Reception.

EVENING BALLOON GLOW
We are excited for the return of the evening Balloon Glow at Ski Town Ballfields. We encourage our pilots to join us for this public event. We have room for up to 8 balloons to tether and glow at the event and up to five additional candlestick displays. Please indicate on your pilot application if you are interested in participating. We will have food and merchant vendors along with entertainment.
